If I get a G-mail account, I will reduce my spamming by 70%.

Now that's an incentive.

Could of sworn I sent a PM to Sil, If not Sil whats your internet email address. Likewise VampD as I don't have any more invites (except Sils) but I have someone who has one spare.

Do it quick though.

Maybe I'm missing something here but, well, what's so great about Gmail? All I've heard is that it has a different approach to email chain organisation and that you can store up to 1000mb of email.

Nothing you can't do in five minutes with Outlook, surely?

You would have to use it to see.

Posted this before but here is what it has so far (bare in mind that google are continually adding features/changing UI as its beta).

- Thread Stacking (which is great if you are on a heavy mailing list).
- Stacks/removes inlined text to make it neater.
- Advanced Spam filter
- Custom filters
- Fast customizable search system.
- Keyboard shortcuts.
- Dynamic Address book (learns as you send/recieve emails) with fast search for fields.
- Personal level indicators (tells you how relevent the mail is to you)
- Snippets option on mail list.
- Uses labels instead of folders. As well as starring messages (which is like a label afaik).

I should point out you can find a mail that you want very fast and the whole system is very fast.

There are also plugins available.
Gmail Notifier - checks email and pops up messages
GmailFS - For linux only, converts your mailbox into a file server you can mount.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you have you will find old email annoying to use.

*lol* Sounds like it has one or two useful features but it's hardly revolutionary (though I'll admit that outlook + lots of email = achingly slow). I cant help but think that everyone's getting carried away as it's a "oh, oh, I got into a closed beta!" kind of thing.

Still, I dont want to rain on anyone's parade if having a Gmail account makes them feel all warm and fuzzy :D

Like I said once you get used to it, you realise how much better it is.
