After gameing with an overclocked 4200 ti for years. I just got meh 6800gt in the mail. In Neo terms : SEX!!!

My eyes are in heaven. Came with Farcry which im about to install and have been playing Thief 3. There is no comparison.

Ill thats left to say is come on Doom III.

Im not going to post benchmarks but I will say. This is a very sexy card.
Get yours today so we can have the best FPS with BDoY.

for years? lmfao dude the Geforce 4 was a late 2002 product... hardly call that years :s (I estimate 1.5 yrs... got my GF3 TI200 overclocked at normal GF3 running for 2 yrs and I bought that when the thing just got out o.O)

im going to say I had the ti for 2 years + some. Even if it was 1.5 years was still time for an update. Im a picky bastard. If i cant crank up the gfx on single player im not happy. Dues 2 was my first disapointment. I have to say the one thing that im enjoying the most are the shadows, seeing an opponents shadow on farcry's multi adds so much to the game I think. Atleast im gettin my kicks off.

Always seemed a bit odd to me when i read what alot of neo players are running machine wise. Alot are very but some, well some are just EEK! But then again we are playing neo so theres no need atm.






places the Ti in the bin of computer scraps right next to the voodoo 5 5500 and locks .. hmm wonder if "garret" can pick his way though this one

Seriously though, I play far cry at almost the highest settings and it runs smooth (800x600 though) Only thief and deusex where a bit laggy, and for some reason gothic 2 also... which isn't even the best of engines.

Its a good card, quicker than your GF4 was anywayz - or so the benchmarks say online...

but thats all excuses for a lack of cash to get new hardware

hmm missed this whole thread someway

just orderd my 6800 GT yesterday *cough* expencive.. and 2x256 mb kingston pc 3200 cause my pc2100 can't keep up my my OCed proc

making the same jump tho.. a TI 4200 64mb oced.. its been in the comp for like 2 years tho.. gotta be.. this comp is from jan.. the old comp was a year old or something ( got a new one cause my own comp broke the other was in t3h living room )

Might be worth looking at the Nvidia GeForce 5950Ultra as the price would of now come down. I bought mine a month or so before the 6800 was announced :cry: never mind eh!.

Anyway I can run FarCry at top whack in all settings no probs.

P.S. ATI better on paper (just) not in reality with games today
