Why did Ex-TT clans moved to FA?

Hi again, I was just wondering why Ex-TT clans would move to FA (phoenix and exo)? I don't know if this was intentional or not, but it leaves questions for an interesting plot. From what I've learned from FA's history I almost see it as NC trying for a political takeover of TH.

I believe it's just a case of those other factions going to complete shit, and the good people wanting to get out and find a place where they could make a difference.

Of course, I could be totally wrong, but those were pretty much my motivations for switching from CA originally.

The kind of OOC reason exo has is because ss like to do everything alone (they killed a few of us because we came to help with an op fight...) We couldn't take ops without huge help, and we wanted to own some ops. At the time we switched, FA seemed to be in need of military-type help, soo, all the other factions seemed... Useless... Nowhere where we could make our skills actually visible to other people (Don't. Say. Anything*.) So, eXo went FA. Not really sure about the whole RP story behind it. I was on holidays when the main switch occured.

That's our story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm curious who comes from a pure FA background? Probably the cast of THSC I guess?

I came from CM, moved to Angels as CM was restrictive in what I needed to do, then moved to CS over the CA embargo then moved back to FA again sometime later.

There any number of reasons while people/clans move.

I myself was not born in Techhaven as a Fallen Angel, but worked in Tangent and also CityAdmin for a brief spell.

Phoenix was formally GTL, which was part of Tangent. Only Damion Jordan of Tangent decided there was no need for GTL anymore, and was going to concentrate on turning Tangent into a war machine with System shock and NDA.

Zane Shadowfall, myself, Thonkus and many other loyal GTL employee's decided Tangent was no longer the future for us. A few other members where recruited to NCPD Precinct One. After careful consideration we choose to make home in Techhaven, and form Phoenix Ltd.

I was born a FA....

After using Zone 38 (NERD ) to travel from Saturn to Pluto, I escaped from the CA brainwashing facility (MC5) and, after the process failed, returned to my former home of TH where I was accepted into Phoenix as a researcher, and now work for Technocracy as a Computer Systems Expert.

i was nerd'ed also as miss ben, after i said atricia didnt need breast implants or something like that after one of his stories.

and for some bizzare reason, i always get drawn towards being FA, on two out of my 3 characters, either being born fa or changing to fa

I was born FA, and after being a member of the first TeCH I moved to NeXT to join Blue Tech. After spending a good deal of time working with Blue Tech (and becoming NERDed myself) I returned to TH and started THSC with the help of Dajuda. But then Delloda lost control of DarK. Next CA started placing guards around TH and trying to control the angels. Needless to say, this cause major problems between the mains clan of CA (mostly sxr) and the fallen angels. After trying to work things out from the FA side and discovering that FA was willing to bargain but CA was not, I desided to infiltrate SXR and try to fix the problems from the inside. I changed factions and joined sxr, where FuckNut quickly promoted me to Counicl Class, the second highest rank in the clan. My plan worked. As soon as I joined SXR the sxr raids in TH stoped. Soon after that, SXR was helping FA defend TH against DarK. After that CA/FA problem was solved, I saw no reason to remain a member of CA. Besides, my redflash addiction and my constant killing of Tangent did not go over will with the adminstration as a whole. The home sickness for the blue lights of TH became to much, so I said goodbye to SXR and came home to FA.

Born in Biotech, wandered around in the dark for a while until I was able to survive out in the harsh wastelands, and then transferred over to FA. Glad as ever to be serving under Phoenix.

Just to highlight that. Phoenix Ltd didn't move. Some people who used to work for GTL Inc, moved to FA. Then Phoenix Ltd was formed ok.. with the same management as GTL Inc. But essentially, we set up as independant traders, and not just 'switched sides'.

When we moved, FA was in termoil and for a time, we were the only people in Tech Haven. Gradually life started coming back and I worked to make Tech Haven a center for trade and commerce. Although, as more and more clans have joined and reformed, the whole 'trade and commerce' thing has gone down the pan in favour of combat oriented clans.

I dont think its bad that there are clans in FA that want to fight. If there wernt any that do this then FA looks very weak even if we do out produce any other faction when it comes to items for runners.

LoL they actualy increased when we had help from FF and SxR, but they where alot more fun as with your help and FF's help we where able to defend ourselves much better and realy had fun defending TH, yep I loved those times.

As for TgR, we where once a TT clan, we where once a TS clan and now we are an FA clan. We moved here not as a clan, our clan died in TS because most members stopped playing or moved towards different servers. (we still are in contact with those but we choose to remain at pluto)
Killer and myself moved to FA to join Phoenix Ltd. which we did and I had alot of fun in that company, We where the secret police force for Phoenix Ltd. which was called 'Section 2'.
Soon after I started a 2nd character, Mr.Garett. A monkeyboy who was doing research inside Phoenix Ltd. I loved to roleplay as a sciencemonk but the burden of researching shitloads of cubes was high, high enough for me to loose my fun in doing it, thus I stopped doing alot of research and played more as section 2.

After that Killer and myself had the idea of creating a powerfull force in TH, Phoenix itself hadn't realy recruited for ages and most of section 2 was inactive. We wanted to split section 2 into a new clan but still connected to Phoenix and controlled by Zane. this would give us the advantage that we could be aggressive withoud drawing negative attention towards Phoenix Ltd.

After several discussions with zane we however decided that he wanted to much control over the new section 2, to much to be (in our idea) effective.
We wanted a more effective system where there where two leaders who worked together closely instead of one leader who commanded everything.

There TgR was pulled out of the ashes and was reborn. Like a phoenix and phoenix ltd
anywayz at the same time Mirrorshades started there clan, and then there was three. Phoenix, mirrorshades and TgR worked hard to get FA going again in which we where highly successfull, at tops TgR had 46 active members. We worked real close together with Phoenix Ltd. and our defenses offcourse where assisted by mirrorshades, mirrorshades members where mostly at american time, which made them mostly the defenders in our sleep time and visa-versa.
then FF contacted us with their offer to help defend TH. We offcourse loved that and our defense become more succesfull, but also we had more raids as dark and eXo loved to raid our home for some practise
Then out of the sudden SxR showed up being a very faithfull extra allie, I do not remember when or why exactly they showed up, but they where there.

Not soon after, TgR almost died again because of the 45 members about 35 to 40 had actualy stopped playing (can you believe it????) and the ones still playing where becoming more and more inactive.

Well not soon after Trillian finaly listend to our (FA) beggings and returned to FA, she restarted THSC and well after that relationships have gone a bit down the drain, mostly because she gave us little chance of recruiting and she even managed to try recruit some of our own members (no comment on if that was intentionaly or not) and because it felt she was and is commanding the faction as some sort of high commander... (and looking at the politics system she soon will be that faction "leader" instead of zane.)

The rest is mostly known to all I believe.

on a side note, our name 'The gib rippers' is not a choice to be anti roleplay or anything, its our legacy from the good old unreal tournament instagib, many of us are still high on roleplaying and our name is probably seen as some sort of anti rp clan, which we are not

Heh, I ment the ones where sxr was raiding TH, not the DarK raids.

ah I c, well I joined FA a few weeks before Dark left it, I didn't see much raids before dark left, so if you where in SxR at the time you've been highly succesfull

ive always defended TH, even when the SS raid happend... being a lone APU in TH fighting is very daunting and extreamely fun as yu gotta save every last HP yu can.... i miss some of the raids, oh and did yu know the Turrets in TH 3 move?? i didnt belive it but they do, yu gotta really hurt them but they do (unless there was a GM fucking with me)... oh i was testing a theory b4 yu guys think i was wasting them for fun


oh and what would be grrrreat is if either TH 3 or TH 1 lost a few hundred turrets... allow raiders to hit one side and we can fight them there =)
