OK - seeing as my nice friend Nid won't let me have access to the NC forums, I can't find this out

Since coming back, I keep hearing about WOC... someone said to me they were at WOC lvl 1 - huh?

Can someone clear this up for me plz? What is WOC? Is this the advanced lvling KK were on about introducing back in NC 1?

yeah, it's when you are capped and get a certain amount of Exp in one of your main skills (I think it's 260 mil) you can get a WOC level in that skill (don't know exactly how since I'm not really there yet, but it involves getting hold of a WoC disc, which is quite hard to get), for the 2nd level you need more exp and 2 discs and so on.

These WOC levels allow you to use certain weapons like the AK

I can only imagine how long it would take to get 260mil in a skill - guess the only real chance you have is as a toon that has area attacks. The thought of doing that on my melee tank makes me feel ill

So is there any cap to how far you can go? And does this mean that, for example, the base STR on my tank can go from 100 to 101, 102, etc ?

You dont actually gain a new level in the skill e.g. getting to base 102 STR just the WoC level so you dont get another five points for the setup, its possible to go to the maximum of WoC level 5 - to my knowledge we dont have anyone in game at WoC 3 yet, lol

the WoC levels are just for new requirements on guns e.g. the IonCrossbow requires you to have DEX WOC +1

Our ppu, monkeymagic has the exp for WOC 4, but not the disks... I myslef have WOC 3 on star, but not the disk's...

There not really any point in using the disks - since there is bugger all WOC items.
