and we have a working domain.. was a bitch to install the server but hell after a few corrupted cd's and dvd's somebody from work finally got me a working version ( 700 mb send over msn = a bitch )

got our old packard bell machine back from the dustpile it was burried in.. and installed win 2003 server on it =) after all day fucking around with settings dhcp and ad.. its working.. transferd my own pc.. my laptop my bro's pc and the pc downstairs to the network. god so much fucking around to get all profiles right again but its working.. was more work then i thought of with all ip adresses and the router and wireless ap needed to get ip's and the router needed to quit trying to hand out ip's to and couldn't find the kill dhcp switch on it lol..

Put a shared folder on it with movies and music.
Then hook up one comp to the TV in the living room and the soundsystem, install media center edition on it and you got yourself a nice multimediahouse.

Yeah, thats a good idea... I have been thinking about that for a while, and put it in the lounge so I can watch stuff from mah desktop downstairs on mah dads 50" TV

lol bugs.. if i wasn't living @ home that might be a nice idea but both the sound system as the tv downstairs is crap and the tv is kinda "owned" by my sis ;( she's the only one watching it.
