Epic Run Ahoy!

I'm really new to the game. I've played it less than a month and I've really enjoyed the missions. The Epics I have done in my short 3 1/2 week life are the Military Base epic, the Crahn epic and the Black Dragon epic. The Military Base epic was boring to me. Crahn was hard for me ( Considering I'm new and I don't know where all the NPC's are.. I spent a lot of time in >Help asking for, well.. "help". ) The Black Dragon epic was a very easy epic that I quite enjoyed reading as it went along.

Most of these epics are tedius, but if they have a good script.. it can be amusing.

I wish KK would offer harder missions for gaining fsm.

One of the annoying aspects of the game is having to run around and gain fsm when you're over /45 when the hardest missions you can get from the coms are the Launcer Cyclops!

I suppose the reason it's annoying to me is because you get all of the level /10 through /20's that are out there who complain and say "Hey Heart, you really shouldn't be out here.. you're way too high for the bunker"

One day I had 3 people tell me that. You know I wanted to tell them to all piss off, but luckily held it in until one person got the better of me by repeating it a couple of times out loud around the bunker. Complaining that I was way out of my league ( as if I was really too high for them )

I said to him..

"Why are you telling me this" ( with a few choice bad words added )

I said ... If you have a problem with me out here leveling my Faction Sympathy then take it up with KK, because these are the hardest mobs of 50/50 I can find to gain fsm, and considered a "very hard" mission.

You know what he said in reply? "Try the aggressors, you'll level faster"

Now, where does that make any sense? I'd be even "more" out of my league THERE. DUH...

Yah.. so they should really improve the missions, instead of making them so tedius, why not make them funnier, or in the case of fsm, make some harder ones. Launcher Cyclops should be moved down to "normal" ... they should add "Warbots" to "hard" ....

Now, that would be fun!

Hi there heart, Im glad that your enjoying the game, in your 3 and a half weeks of playing. Many people give up before they get that far!

Im impressed that you've managed to complete three epics in that time, that really does show that you've picked up the game really fast!

As for the faction missions Ive found its easier just to kill enemy runners to get your faction sympathy up, as it goes up faster and is more fun! But KK really should add some "hard" missions, which are doable, iirc there is a mission for killing hoppers in the hard missions, but the nearest city com to the hoppers is miles away so no one ever does it.

Suggest it to KK in a brainport thread on the forums, as I think its an important feature that needs to be fixed especially as the game now relies upon getting the FSM acess for all the stuff you need!

Any way if you need any help then dont hesitate to ask for a Phoenix in game, we'll all try to help you (some of us have been playing since beta of neocron 1 )

3 epics, and your loming within 3 1/2 weeks of playing this game, you sound more of a vet than a newbie!

As for the epics, they are ok but they are all based on Neocron 1's old faction relations. For example TS and BD were enermies to each other, and they controled different parts of pepper park, so you would had to cross in hostile territory to do parts of each epic. Now that TS and BD are neutral to each other, there is no fear of being killed by the enermy.

For a while my favourite epic was the City Mercs, but I think Crahn is the better story, and it fits in so well with the background story of Crahn.

And the comedy moment of the epics has to be TG's, when you are told that TG have a new threat from CA called...."The Neocorps"

I found a way to do the th npc faction symp missions without a ppu, still takes long though.

spec hc, get in a bomber, park bomber IN THE MIDLE of the mobs (yes they hardly hit it) and click away.
