Since this site was not available for some hours (maintenance?) - i just realised how damn brilliant and important it just is for all remaining nc2 players.

The THN was down so it could be moved to new server hardware. Unfortunately moving all the data from the old server to the new server took a little time.

All looks well, but if anyone finds anything broke please let me know. I've just fixed the blue pages on the Rares DB, so it works again.

I agree and thank you for this continued effort. I hope that they re-birth NC when BP has gotten underway. I am also glad they still allow us to play.

Seriously thank THN & all staff for staying open. Without THN, I would have stopped playing a a LONG time ago.

One question tho... Is there a reason THN doesn't have a tip jar to help with the hosting expenses/whatever? Just curious.
...and no, I don't give a damn if it goes into the Brammers beer fund...

The THN doesn't have a "tip jar" as my hosting expenses are very low.

Just a bit of background about the server myself and about other 14 users all contribute about 10 quid a month, which covers the co-lo server hosting costs and also extra for future hardware replacements. That 10 quid includes my own personal mail domains, and the THN/TPN and a lot more.

The server hardware has just been recently replaced, since the previous server was 5 years old.

As for keeping the actual THN site going, it's usually myself that keeps an eye on things, but some of the other THN staff do lurk around. I guess it's like the game really, not many people playing, and not much happening here... but we are still here!
