My mom just sent me an email asking if this computer was a good buy. I really know nothing about computers.. what do you guys think?

I do not know what she wants to buy it for, but my guess is personal use. She will not want to use it for gaming.. mostly email and the like.

My first scan of the specs, it cheap, and very low spec.

Even for email and surfing the web, the 800 x 480 is way too small screen resolution IMHO. (1024 x 768 I think is a decent minimum)

Also it doesn't look like it comes with windows either.

no trill, it's not a good buy.

If she wants a cheap good pc for email get a Asus EEE with Xp on it.

Or the MSI wind - or the Acer Aspire One All three of the "netops" are pretty good spec for just emailing and internet etc.
