Indeed Bram, now since the location is Nottingham... and due to past visits(Delphi to clarify) there is a good strip of pubs in Edwinstow, Mansfield, which is only a lil drive out of Nottingham itself, and there is plenty to drink from, including the 'Banging Hotspot' The Hammer and Wedge, more commonly known as 'The Wedge'. But thats my 2pence worth as not living in the area, I wouldn't really have a clue about much else

Area marked out is roughly speaking where all the city centre bars, pubs and clubs are located. Of course, we could do one of the pub-heavier suburbs (Beeston, Ilkeston, Arnold), but for trains and general variety etc the city centre makes the most sense.

I've been plotting a few places in Google maps. (Couple of Travel lodges, and a few pubs/clubs that I've found references to.

There are lots more down by the canal, I just forget their name to google, and apparently lots more down Hockley (where The Broadway and Vodka Revolution is), I've just never been.

Saw the thread in the NC forums.

Currently at Uni in Notts, if you want a relaxing pub which often plays good music then the Salutation Inn is a good place. Its very nearby to that central Travelodge you have on your map Brammers, on Maid Marian Way.

Not that many of you will know me, but I'll probably turn up. Tratos and Brammers probably pretty much it...
