My entry for the Dynamic Run Competition - Feedback Request

Quest 1: The researcher quest
Reward: Experimental Research Implant
INT +2.24, RESEARCH +9.91

The quest would start from inside Tech Haven, a woman (model; spy, female) sitting down at the tables next to the NPC traders (the ones that sell lube). Requirement to run the mission would be RES: 150.

NPC: Good morning, I've not seen you around here before? You've caught me at a bit of a bad time. Is there anything I can do for you?

PC: I've heard rumours that you're working on a top secret project to develop a new kind of implant, can you confirm they're true?

NPC: Yes, that's true. The implant that my team and I are developing is to bridge a gap in the current market. Biotech specialises in a range of implants for constructors, but apart from a few very rare implants, nothing caters for researchers. Unfortunately at this present time the project is on hold due to our inability to gain access to materials.

PC: Is there anything that I can do to help? Which materials are you struggling to gain access to?

NPC: The materials we're specifically after are a Prototype AMC5 Processor, a MNPU #34300-X, and a Biotech Construction License. Unfortunatlly my team and I have had problems sourcing those items. If you could help out it would greatly improve our prospects of getting a prototype of this implant working.

PC: Hi again! I've managed to find the items that you needed.

NPC: Thank you, now it's going to take some time for my team and I to get the prototype working, come back in 10 minutes.

<WAIT 10 REAL MINUTES>

PC: How did it go? Did you manage to get the implant to work?

NPC: Yes! The results were even more phenomenal that we originally imagined. With an implant like this filling the gap in the market we're sure to make the lives of researchers everywhere a lot easier. Here, take this prototype and spread the news of our work!

Please find attached my submission for the competition. This quest would
require a new implant to be made in game, I have also provided stats for this
item to fall in line with the current stats for other implants of the same
type. This should be easy to implement

It would just be nice for Researchers to have additional implants, like Constructors have CST 1, 2 and 3 in addition to the Tech Haven CPU, Special Sciences CPU, and Hawkins CPU. Not to mention the glove. Makes it much easier to get higher level CST than you can get for Research.

Well lets hope Reakktor like it. It would definitely be nice to have another decent implant for researchers

The rules for the contest said specifically that no rewards were allowed.
So I don't see this one getting in.

Its also worthnoting that as this stuff won't be patched, you don't get anything in the F8 window, you can't enforce an NPC order and you can't do any objective counting/checking.

So while the reward is a nice idea, it won't happen, and the run is rather dull without the reward.

Well official word from Reakktor is that they'd rather have quests that use items already in the game as rewards; primarily because they don't have the time to spend balancing new items at the moment because of all of the work on the up coming patches.

No it would really be a wild goose chase, but it would take you places you have never been. I don't think KK would actually make an island.
