are there any word filter programs for IE or firefox?

my uni resnet filters sites with a lot of abuse or with even 1 of the badded phrases
this is really f**king annoying, as you can imagine, are there any programs i can use to filter the words that are getting pages blocked out?

A filter program for IE or Firefox won't allow you to view sites that your uni restricts. That's done at a proxy server level, which you normally wont have access to.

its so annoying on forums when you cant view half the stuff because people swear so freely these days

Find a differnet proxy server to use would seem to be the solution - I can't talk you through the process though.
