Jonric What do you consider the most important lessons you've learned, both as gamers and as designers, from other online games you've worked on and played?

J?rg Martin Schwiezer: The #1 lesson is "Don't rush things!" This is so true... especially for MMORPGs. Don't let yourself be pushed to release too early. The community will kill a developer and his game if they are being used as paying beta testers. That's the main reason why we had a beta test for over a year.

hmmm he obviously never took his own advice....

Btw I was looking for a world editor in a similar style to neocron, (not the same style I Dont want to open the map files, just want to see If I could do any better than KK...

omg

Have you tried Valve's Hammer? It was a fairly intuitive editor when I played around with it.

I think one of the major reasons I gave up with it was because I started some major remodelling (to allow acess to the roof) and then realised how much work it would be :banghead: lol, never know it might get ressurected again at some point lol!

Yep, if you do fancy resurrecting it at some point, I'd happily help you test it as well.
