Dam, you had Zone muted as thats where Mercuri was talking a lot on!

But the upshot of the GM coming along is they have seen the TH1 invisbility bug, that we all had problems with. I died about 5 times yesterday, because they could see me, and I couldn't see jack.

Ok if you come down from the apps in Techaven Sector 1 entrances 1A to 1C, sometimes you see no-one.

The first you know is you are dying or someone is talking to you, and you can't fight back because you can't see them to targtet them. :shock:

I didn't get a log, but I got some pictures. Sorry if they end up a bit large, well, I can't help myself, I hate compression. At least I made them jpegs.
Also, just a note: The 'Andrew Eirias' you see in the log is not the actual Andrew--he's a saint. I was logged in on his account when SS attacked and went to help on it. So, any complaints about language should be addressed to me. :wink:

Hehe I hope the discussion with the GM was more productive than asking him to change into a stripper or a pink Copbot.

Also I was actually teamed with a bunch of SS guys like Cylon for the Battle League right after the GMs warped SS out and closed the area. It was pretty fun laughing at them for not being able to come to TH1. The funniest part was afterwards they were discussing their PK plans with me still teamed. :shock:

But I had to go any way.

Hopefully the bug will be fixed in TH. And truthfully it didn't have to be exploited, but it was. Its their own fault really, but we cant just threaten to ban every one that attacks us in TH1. I think we can all agree that dying to invisible SS is teh suck, but being forced to rely on GM interference is also teh suck. Soon we can get it fixed and start defending our home again. Back when I was originally FA we were the biggest faction and never defended TH as well as we do now. Well done so far and lets keep up the good work.

Oh, right, that. I didn't think to take any pictures of it--haha, sorry. (I couldn't see him while he was testing actually, because I ran up to put something in the gogu, and he was invisible when I came down.) He went up and down one of the apartment lifts and had a few of the FA members do it--after some testing he could only see about half of us, and determined that the problem was much worse than he had imagined. Merc said he'd talk to someone about getting it fixed, and suggested that if the problem became too intense, he would have turrets spawned in the lift area. I was tempted to ask if they'd be gat turrets.

My main problem with SS attacking us in TH1 was not the invisible zoning bug--I could tolerate that; how hard is it to run, you know, when there's just one? (Especially when they suck. Haha, hi SS! You love me too? Okay, cool.)--but I had a hard time swallowing the zone hopping to the apartment. That was too much for me--I almost had a brain aneurysm sitting there for like a half an hour trying to kill Freeejumper while she zonehopped. Class.
But yeah, I've got to agree that I don't want to rely on GM interference--but as far as I've seen, we aren't really. We pushed them out the first time yesterday without help.
I do remember early TH defense--I was first FA when you were still a Spy, Jest--and I remember that it sucked. Half the time I called my clan for help I got accused of lying about getting attacked, and the other half of the time they just ganked the defenders. I am infinitely more appreciative of today's defense. (Though me not being a total newb now does help--I just suck at PvP now, haha.)

But oh well, back to my take-home final, got my tea and an In Strict Confidence CD on repeat. Hope I haven't missed out on anything fun today, though I sense I have.

Well m not one to accept the abuse of bugs, and as such i contact mercuri who stepped in yesterday and sorted several things, first of all he has banned all SS and there subclans from TH1 (any SS or subclan of SS seen there is in violation of this and should be reported) Furthermore any other clans that start to use this bug will also be banned from TH1

This means TH1 is a safeISH area, dnt trust them not to violate the ban, and also means none clanned runners rnt effected by ban, if it gets bad he has something else planned to solve it, although he only wants to do this as a last resort

TH2 also has the same issue. It happens when you GR in (not zone) and you are invisible to people already in the zone.

It's funny Iso, the only reason I originally rerolled to a PE is because I couldnt protect Tech Haven that effectively as a droner.

I was a droner spy for like 3 months haha. It was fun though. My QB belt was filled with Kami drones and I got good with em. I could hit a person with 2 Kami drones before they even touched me. :shock:

But yah FA was really, well, crappy back then, haha. It's nothing like it is today.
