Im gona be out of action for a week I think, my new PC just died on me, an ive barely got it working atm, some kind of error with my soundcard screwed part of the registry when I re installed my drivers (Peice of S***t)

anyways since I cant get ingame to tell anyone il just post here.

BTW does anyone know how to change icons to devices like HDD in windows 98? Ive customised my desktop ones but want to change other default ones, especially folders etc

Im no whizz with compter just being nosey really ..

By any chance is it a Creative/Audigy card ... cause the same thing happened to me with the reg files .. caused an error when you boot and you get a message on a black screen saying something like "system files/registry courrupted or does not exsist" ?

If it is that i found that taking the card out, booting in safe mode, removing the Creative installation then rebooting allows you to get back to norm without sound of course, but your able to check out the Creative help forums from which, I found that had to edit certian reg file entries to make my card work ok ?!?! like i say im no whizz so don't listen to the above hehe just explaining something similar that happened to me.

Theirs aload of puta magicians in these forums they help ya more :wink:

haha no where near dude I just pick it up cause I have so many probs with my damn computer :mad: but i got a good freind in IT

... my skills lay in finance so IT is all self taught (prob why I have so many problems with my system hehe) =(

TweakUI is what changes the folders, drives, etc... via icons.
TweakXP is the latest incarnation, not sure you can still find TweakUI though....look in software archives.

yea i got the creative live platnum 5:1 card, its a great card, just the instal CD is SHITE,, it crashed durin install then everytime i start windows it came up with detecting the hardware, an locked up,, had to re install windows. heh its corrupted my registry too an i had to format

LOL an the worst part is i lent my NC to a mate :'(

nooooooo no NC for me.

not sure if the old tweakui can do the trick you want but ifso its still downloadable at www.download.com ( do a search there )
