Myself and a few extra old eXo players are venturing back in to the land of NeoCrack.

Many people still about playing from Pluto days, and whats the Clans situation these days? eXo will of course be staying FA for now.

OMFG!!!! :D Welcome back Garyu69

Welcome back garyu69, I think Lisa Merlins is going to be wearing some special nailpolish tonight!

Phoenix is about, if a little inactive at times, the other clans in FA, I'll let them speak for themselves.

some sexy nail polish woot!

has anyone had any problems with running NC and that it takes up all of the processing power which then makes it impossible to play?

My friend is trying to re-activate his account but when testing the game on his PC (Which is better performance than mine) it just hogs the whole CPU.

He's disable other programs running, has it running the same setup as I have NC running at but no joy.

Tell him to try setting it to only use 1 CPU

TBH, doubt that will help, since the client affilates itself to 1 cpu only, regardless of how many cores you have.

Garyu69 - give us some specs of the PC's in use.

I used to run NC smooth as you like on a 2.4 processor, 128mb graphics card and half a gig of ram! Cant be all bad!

It WILL hog as much CPU as it can regardless of the system though, it's just what it does, lol

I still have to set the affinity to one core on my computer, otherwise it gets all jumpy. =/

This is not true.

It will use only use about that processing power one CPU can deliver, but that is mainly because of the client's asymetric, nearly single threaded design. (Ask your favorite process explorer)

However the CPU this working thread is assigned to can change through the sheduler, while neocron is running. The CPU Affinity is not set by the client as can easily be seen when trying to change this in the default TaskManager (All CPUs will be checked as allowed)

I use a program called WinLauncherXP to launch things with the affinity already set so that I don't have to go in and do it myself.

I played NC for along time using vista and having a processor widget on my second screen.

It took up 40-50% of each processor, Mightymax is correct

Yellow Paint. I'll point out you said that you gave your account details to the person in question.

No player should ever give their account details, and no person has any right to ask you for any account details for any reason whatsoever. However I'll advise you again to contact KK with any evidence you have, or discuss the matter using PM's.

And finally please get back on topic for this thread, this is my only warning in this matter.
