So... I used to play NeoCron back before the days of the DOY.

A friend and I just rejoined recently and noticed that the HQs in the DOY are all not running (all HQs are now in outpost like areas) and the DOY is pretty much inaccessible for low levels like us.

What is now happening in the DOY?
Was this change with 2.2, 2.1 or has it been this way since the conceptualization of the DOY?
Is there anything going on the the IG events that hints to the DOY being used again?
Are these things foreign to us just because we are low level and not a part of any clan/guild?
Are there any links to the story of what happened?

Any answers would be appreciated.


Edit: So I read this all occurred in patch 168... But why?

All the factions moved back to Neocron.

This was done because the community has been asking for it for forever, and it helps to make it look like there's actually people playing the game.

Just means I have to pay to use an f'in genrep everytime I feel like going to P1. Pretty stupid imo. Did they put a backstory to it?

All the DoY apartments got moved to a new zone that is accessable from Outzone Station, which is now a safe zone, so getting to Plaza 1 from your apartment should be easy.

If you are in DoY, head to the City Centre, and use the GR there to get out (And back in) of DoY.

And there is a back story - look at the VoTR and Neocronicle mags.
