Im writing a Neocron Program to do some stuff. so far i have
Neocron setup
- simple GUI to change colour scheme from presets. add new presets edit presets. add some commands. change controlls.
and anything else you want to see in here?
Resist Setup
- A program that allowes you to add point/imps/armour/buffs and see what outcome you would get from it. anymore ideas?
Skills manager
- Hopefully an updated version of the old one, but ill be adding the ability to check what an imp setup will give in way of boosts aswell.
Anymore ideas?
i writing in VB anyone who is willing to lend support (i only have a city&guilds level 2) please contact me.

For something as basic as that, why not run it off something as simple as a MS Access database? As it turns out, I know too much about that.. I've been forced to use Access Databases at work

yeah, out of curiosity, why are you reinventing the wheel? all that stuff is already out there and works great. If your bored and feel the need to do soemthing, write soem net code for KK to get the synch problem fixed.

Take a look out there thonkus.. there is no resist program like the one i have planned. no inventory tracker.. the skills manager is outdate to say the least and the neocron setup manager isnt there.

Erm.. well I do have a skills manager that adds the skills up.. and I do have a program that lets me configure the GUI of neocron.
But I will help you learn.. that's what it's all about.. right?
You said you were learning DB's.. so I assume you asked about DB's because you want to learn VB + DB's..

I know what u mean zane.. but the skill manager is outdated
and what i want it to have a GUI OUT of game to allow you to setup the INI files. and also have several RPOS colour scheme saved and be able to choose (and view) then change to the selected one
[edit] i decided im out of my depth. so nevermind

ALL are oudated, most of the programs even are from the times of BETA.
And there are also very view I like, most of em just don't work how I want them to. ( right now I'm doing with an skill manager which is outdated and then later on count the change in skills up by hand )
In short: Its about time someone made new stuff

The Neocron Setup and Resist/Boost features sounds interesting. When I recolored my RPOS blue, I just used MS Publisher (yeah I know, overkill

) and a bunch of color swatches side-by-side to get the hues right. I can't get an electric-blue appearance due to the way Neocron interprets the colors, but I can get a nice steel-blue (which I'm using now).

don't try to do it all at once
Choose one of the three goals and persue it till finished, then you can still see if you want to do another...and another
