Hi guys been a while since i logged into old NC !

Do you think we'll see the balancing conclude before xmas?

Anyone been on the Test server, I heard it was running for a select few? or is NDA still in force?

I know i'll probably come back at some point check out the old TFC if they are still going....or where ever those guys ended up

Hows the vehicle business Brammers hopefully get a boost post balancing when they are worth taking to op wars !

OMG 1st Post!

If there is a test server running already, I certainly haven't even heard such a rumour. As far as I know KK are going straight to a "public" test server that any neocron subscribers can use. I severely doubt we will see 2.2 before Christmas, especially since, as far as I know, we're waiting for KK to set up and open the test server.

The Testserver is atm only KK-internal use not open to us yet.

What KK plan to do, is turn Neptune into the public test server, which from the noises on the forums, that may happen in the next 2 weeks.

Personnally I don't want to see KK rush 2.2 out for Christmas, I want to see it come out when it's done.

WORD ... its better if they take their time ... the community wont be satisfied anyways ... they always find something to whine about

Agreed - whatever happens, so many peoples setups will be affected, possibly in ways many of them don't quite understand, that there's going to be a shit storm when 2.2 goes into testing and again when it goes live.

Saw pepsi's tag change on official forum, thought he was in phoenix, will check in on vent some time soon.

Hopefully after RL settles down, i'll be back to those NC streets touting my services.

And participating in some OP wars for who ever the hell I end up fighting for think my PPU will need a major rework come 2.2 anyways so it may be fun.

Indeed, 2.2 is defintley post-christmas. There has been an internal KK test server running, but then there always has been. We get our first go soon.

As for TFC and vent:
You can find Bray on SXR vent.
Zion on After Dark vent
Myself, Sharp, Tubby, Dave, Herrad on THN vent. (Sharp + Pepsi are Phoenix now, I'm running a new clan thats just getting going)

Dunno about anybody else.

I personally hope that some tweaks are done over the first few weeks of the Test Server (Weeks 1&2 of December) and that the server is left running through out Christmas when KK WILL disappear, they're human and need a crimbo holiday and i hope they have one but leave us lot to play the test server finding and testing every change to make sure this package is a full success, is what the community want and will bring people back to the servers again. Then once we've had december/january to play with things KK come back and address everything we find an issue with during February and possibly March.

I just want to see a proper job done on this and it actually being released "when it's done (TM)"

I'm not hoping for a miracle with 2.2 i'm just hoping it will re-populate the servers a little more - perhaps strong 25-30% populations on Terra and Mars with 15-20% on Mercury, just a few hundred people new and old to refresh the game world more along with the balancing.

then im sure we can get our heads together as a community and beat the shit out of the internet untill every ex-Neocron player at least tries the new look and feel Neocron 2.

Fair point, but I was thinking more of NC2.1 where they released it on time, but it had a ton of bugs.
