It's also a very old review done before Evo 2.1, in May 2005.

...and I think this has been talked about on the NC forums, so KK I am sure know about it.

Not that you'd really want to meet another Neocron player. Based on several weeks running around this hell on virtual Earth, I can say they are, to a man, the most obnoxious, foul-mouthed, unhelpful, bitter, spiteful, unpleasant and insular MMOG players I've ever had the misfortune to encounter. I'd love to put it down to a couple of one-off encounters, but for over two weeks I never once had an enquiry answered in a useful manner or managed to find anyone to team up with, instead being barraged by abuse, taunts and hostility simply for being a newbie. Honestly, they're worse than the Young Conservatives.

Its really too bad, its a great game, but horrable customer service.....(they won't admit they play favorites, but they do all TOO well)

you can't lie to customers, and expect them to come back




there is an old saying, give some one a good deal, they tell 3 people, give some one a bad deal they tell 20.



in this case Mabe they will go under, and someone will buy them out, we can only hope.

I think your way off topic........ I wasnt talking anything about that, and from what I rember you were banned as well from the same person.

ok, i shouldnt have posted that -

but i was banned because some1 else said abuse on my account - (and was unbanned)

Tell me if you think this would work, if I was running Neocron.

Ok 1st off all, I would get rid of CLick2Pay ( Poof* that problems gone* now people can actually play the game, because they can now pay with a credit card )

Ok, 2nd idea: Drop the monthly Fee to 10 $ US dollars a month , to help encourage population growth.

3rd idea : return all players back to their orginal HQ, in NC / Tech haven / TG canyon / etc / doy would be destroyed in some event, this would make it easer for people to trade and PvP again. Plus many people miss living in NC and Techaven and the canyon.

4th idea: Start up the test server again * Nuff said *

5th idea: Make drops for Tech parts like 1 out of 2 off Warbots. Add more then 1 mc5 room, lets try a number like 6 or so, so people dont fight over it.

6th 1dea: Improve OP battles, better bonuses, more action, Useful turrets.

7th idea : Auction system, just Like in World of Warcraft ** ( Its not really stealing, we'll just borrow the idea. )

and thats all I can think of At the momment. I am sure if they even used a couple of these I deas, probably more people would be playing.

first thing i'd do is advertising on places like ign and pennyarcade mocking the fantasy genre of mmorpg's.

something like this:

1: "Tired of these?"
*flash an axe, a wand, and cuddly bear on the banner*
2: "Trade yours in today for the NCPD Rifle"
*flash the rifle and someone getting pwned*
3: "Neocron: When you absolutely positively cant stand to see more elves"

They'd get 200 signups from that alone.

Its a very standard business tactic to spot the niche, prize it open with a crowbar, and exploit it. Sega US did it with Nintendo in the early 90's and made a massive step up because of it.

A lot of people are sick of fantasy mmorpg's and are looking for a scifi one - neocron should take advantage of it.

your right, Neocron does NOT advertise enough. Most people who game have never even heard of it. Thats another thing to add too the list of ideas

Thats a good point atually... do KK atually have any advertisement? In the 4 years ive played neocron ive never seen any adverts for it.

It's reason like this, WHY we should be running the company!

I wonder if they would sell the rights to neocron?

Neocron is pretty much worthless. Theres no good reason to buy it.
So yeah, $1 or so. Not that KK would ever sell it for that.
