Id be more interested in the weapon animations, the current ones are just way too static.

Also this is not just about graphics - the faction system could be the most interesting thing about this update...

Agree here, the faction system has needed work for a long long time imho. While I did like nc1's better it was still kinda flawed. Allied ganking has always been a problem, and being as our enemy prefers fighting eachother on zonelines rather than venturing out into the real world for a real fight, this would be good.

Perhaps we can move on to killing those pro city punks rather than fighting eachother.

I'm kinda curious about the new dungeons though... I would like to see some current dungeons filled up as well. But what can ya do? heh

Looks like KK pulled out all the marketing stops for the Christmas break and are giving NC2 the shot in the arm it badly needs. If this will translate into a permanent increase in player base or not, is another thing.

I have a suspicion that there will be an increase because of the ammount of marketing that they are doing. What i'm wondering is, Is this NC 3? because I dont beleive that they will do another "NC 2.2" for a while.... its been a year and 2 months since NC2:BDoY could it be the same time until NC2.2? why not just call this NC3? and next year NC4... and inbetween have NC 2.164 (NC 2-Patch164). Ofcourse that would never happe. bu the principal of the NC "evolution" just ppuzzles me...

Well i hope they're going to take a WoW-ish approach to patching from now on.

Having large patches mainly dealing with one issue every few months and stick an evolution sticker on it and then inbetween have small bug fix patches labeled for example 2.1.1, 2.1.2 etc

Then as we know we are getting it with 2.1 we would have some new content to look at every few months along with other large improvements.

Or something like that

I think they just release a huge (100-200Mb) patch every 2 months or so... new content and bugs fixed...
