I am creating a new char who will be pure barter, although theres so much I can do! First of all, I've never done barter, so what is a good barter level since most NC skills have a max where they mean nothing, so what's a good level of barter to get or max out around? Any other suggestions for this char? It will basically be a constructor, I already have a cst'er and repairer and a researcher.

Barter doesn't have a cap, just the discount rate tails off at about 130-140 Barter.

Someone on the official forums someone did a graph with the barter to discount rate.

That’s pretty much what I was asking for, as most skills/resists in this game max out somewhere where the added skill no longer provides a ‘worth wild’ addition to furthering the development of the particular skill.

Any suggestions for what else to do with the character?

Bascially, around 110 you get about 30% off. If you go all the way to all int in barter, you get a little over 40%. Droning is the easiest thing to do, although pistol spy is probably more fun. Your call. Or you could always have a bartering monk, but int gain is sloooowww on them guys

Vehicle Pilot and Gunner, Pistol Spy or Tradeskill as a Repairer/Recycler.

You can have a very effective droning barter with about 120-130 barter who can also fly'n'hide. Of course with droners it's a choice between high end VHC skill and long stealth.

I would say that leveling droners is just as boring as leveling pistol spies, but at least you can get some good money out of it in the graves and you can do it alone at 0 risk to your health. I would always go to the last pillar room before the Viper King chamber and go straight for the king - once I killed the king about 10 times and was full of armours and techs a simple set kill took me to my appy - rinse and repeat.

Of course droning in MC5 will level you like a madman, but that's another story.
