Below I posted my rough draft of my idea to better improve Tech Haven. Once I believe that this is completed to make everyone happy and cover all angles I will post this on the offical forums in neocron for public view.

To my fellow runners,

The ideals have were set forth by Thomas Cooper and his colleagues has been lost over the years; Tech Haven was formed on the basis that scientists could do their work and not have to worry about the restrictions of their work as they had in the city. I have walked through the valley in the shadow of a hover bot, and believe me when I tell you I fear no evil. From the hills of Tech Haven to the swamps of Regants Legacy, the deserts of Yucida Village, the abandoned Gaya mines, to the main gate of Neocron I along side of the majority of the runners that are reading this today have seen it all. If you are one of these people whom I speak of you know that Tech Haven is not the glorious city it once was. Years ago a run through Tech Haven yielded many people selling and producing their fine goods that couldn’t be bought in stores. Tech Haven has long since been ruined by the changes that have be fallen our beloved city. My proposal that I will get into detail below is to help bring an unrest to the city and once again restore the great city that many call Tech Haven, but the few that feel deeper call home.

My idea is to restructure the city in it’s entirety. The player stores in sector two are a waste of space and a waste of productivity. What the city needs and is to have the engineers of N.E.X.T. transportation to relocate genetic replicator a or b, to sector three. Open the doors to allow the respected dealers to come back and sell their goods and relocate the fallen angels dealerships (who replaced Crytons tech tools) to sector three thus providing the proper background for economical efficiency inviting more and more tradeskillers back into the area.

With the new technology that has befallen our generation we can now effect the proximity of an area to prevent hostile actions from befalling other runners with no desire to fight. Which means we can assign sector three as a protected zone from the use of pulling out weapons, and leave sectors one and two insecure sectors. Leaving a safe haven for those wishing to partake in safer actions like enjoying a nice jack whisky, or selling or buying and other services that have been performed in tech haven in the past. Some will say, but what of those runners leaving sector three, and entering sector two? Will they not be killed by 'runners of opportunity'? The fact of the matter is that if turrets are placed on the zone line, and in the v tunnel outside that attack those who draw weapons will be shot upon. For those who do not wish to take the risk may always GenRep out from the GenRep in sector three instead of the one in sector two. Now what of those 'runners of opportunity' who wish to attack the turrets? Well, the security teams of the Fallen Angels are more than capable of dealing swift justice to these treacherous outlaws.

By removing the save zone on the two sectors of tech haven will be more inviting to the runners who live life by the sword thus creating more business for those who live it by the credit. The face of the enemy is many in Tech Haven, but there is but one face on a credit.

I'm lal for FA becomming neutral like cm, maybe only hostile to crahn or whatever.
then give them TH as TG was given the canyon back.

Then make that fortress thing in the swamps a CA forward base.

There should also be a secret base for next at the racetrack.

It would give people more places to pvp at. Right now all you can do is either travel loads to find enemies, or hope for enemies at pepper or just plain ally gank.

Exactly one of the problems.

but my ideal was not to make FA neutral. Everyone need's an enemy but, I think tech haven should become the trade place again. Pro city works in plaza 1, DoY runners work in tech haven. There is no middle ground anymore. Tech Haven used to be the middle ground and the ever popular meeting place for people of all kinds to work. By moving the trading to sector 3, and securing it, and unsecuring zones 1 and 2, you create a middleground and a place to fight. A trader hardly goes to a place to work unless he has plenty of resources available. You need something in TH, you have to genrep out to another city unless it's for some gel or a part. What if I need a weapon mod? I would rather work where I have this stuff available so I don't have to worry about Synaptic Impairment in my travels.

Although I like your idea with more forward bases for runners. OP fights are so disorganized because attacking clans have no choice but to attack from the closest genrep they can get to. That's not very tactical! That's a defenders advantage.. If I have to travel clear accross a map to get somewhere that takes me 20 minutes to get their, they genrep right there in about 5 seconds completely battle ready, if I die, shit outta luck for me because now I have to make that trip again. Not very much incentive to me.. Places like desert race track and battle dome are good idea's and we need more scattered about the wastelands.

Imho TH was always ours and should have never left our hands. It makes me ill to see enemy runners in our home that I can't send to synaptic bliss. :wrong: I do agree that TH needed more resources, at least ammo / wepmods. The fact that the majority of cst work is done in TH, at least for the doy runners, is enough argument for at least weapon mods. Vehicle sellers might be nice as well. For the rest I dunno if I personally am ok with it or not. Like I said, I have problems with reds in our home as it is, your proposal might only add to that annoyance.

Well thats the whole idea, red's in your home can still turn up dead in sector 1 and 2, but KK will never un carebear an area once it's done. Infact I'm still surprised that they havn't removed PVP from the game, but the KK way would be to just leave PVP in the game for advertising purposes, but than make every zone a safezone including the wastelands and its outposts/hunting grounds...

I mean I myself am apart of the City Admin faction now which is pretty much an enemy to the FA now, even though in the story line you were our slaves and escaped to get away from our communist rule, but you still do work for us. Although your anti-city now which is just really stupid.. I liked the old faction alliances better.. or best yet just remove soul light from the game and we can call it a free for all =) or at least fix the clan wars so you can fight anywhere as long as both clans agree to war in the terminal and no sl/fs loss is incurred.

Yeah I mean I guess the real problem is the lack of resources. Its not really important what part is a safe zone so long as theres resources there to do business I suppose. Additionally loyal FA should have access to weapons/ammo and the like. But your right about the carebear thing, once its safe it stays that way for a while(I say a while cause there are zones that have changed from safe to other over the years, very few though). None the less something should be done with TH, as the vast majority of it is un-utilized space at this point.

An entire city crammed into the area of the genreps, and the halls it takes to get to your apartment or our the door. Bring back the fighting, bring back the trading.. bring back the glory!

I am of the opinion, that TH should be a real mall. Meaning all items should be available there from weap mods over furniture to loms. If it is supposed to be a trading center then lets make it a real one.
I dont agree with only TH 3 being a safe zone. For example all clan DoY business is done in TH 1 and it would cost an arm and a leg (not to mention time) to buy new appts and move all we have in stock to TH 3.
