I was going through all my hard drive caddies the other day, and stumbled upon an ancient win2k install, that had NC1 installed. Though I don't play NC anymore (It still holds a place in my heart, since it was my first MMORPG and the fact I played it for so long), I thought it would be funny to see what happens if I tried to log in.

Upon booting it up, I got the old NC1 login screen.. So, now I'm curious to know if my account was still active or not, so I typed in my username and password. And other than erroring out, which I thought it would.. BEHOLD! Uranus was still avaliable.. So I went one step further, and actually created a char (FA of course) and logged in.

And there I was in, the middle of MC5 spawn point.. ran out, and hit the Genrep and was in my TH newb apartment. Spoke out in ZONE, but no one responded. After a minute of chuckling, I logged off and wiped the drive.

Now, I thought from all the discussion in the forums, NC1 was gone and was never coming back. Is NC1/Uranus the home of NC-Classis or just a relic thats still around?

lol nc1 is still up you don't need an active account to log in. i can still login my nc1 to. but its just 1 server and uranus was down for 2 weeks or so to. nc1 aint really supported anymore the servers that fall down stay down pretty much. there is maybe 10 people still playing on it. they never get maintained no more so the servers are t3h shit.

its pretty much an old relic left behind with a few people logging in now and then.

Dear ol' dodgy one.. Its not going to happen Sorry Gary, NC1 != NC2

Also, if I did, all my accounts have been wiped permenantly from the NC database. I guess after that big stink I rose in the forums, Odin decided to remedy the problem and wipe my accounts completely. Yes, I've tried to check the accounts, requested new passwords, ect ect.. NOTHING.

Anyhoo.. not going to trash-n-troll NC and the entire company here. Just wanted to post my discovery
