What a complete and utter wanker.. not just a wanker.. but a completly flawless one at that.

I politely requested that he not use the faction channel for a conversation between him and one other person (The conversation consisted of 4 lines of him saying 'FUFUFUFU' and then another person replying with similar bollocks)

He then responded over faction with something to this effect 'STFU Pluto noob'.

I'm sorry, but faction spam is one thing.. but to be a complete and utter arsehole is another.

Someone give me his address so I can personally go to his house and pummel the living shit out of his childish inflated head.. fucking IDIOT!!!

God damn.. there are idiots in FA.. no doubt about that.. but some people take it to an extreme..

For fuck's sake, can't KK put a 'Fucktard filter' on this game? Perhaps anyone displaying an IQ less than 10 and a vocabulary of similar extentent can be attached to jump leads and a 200,000 volt generator.

Not a lot pisses me off this much.. but this guy really takes the biscuit.

I seriously hope there is something that can be done about people like this. Do I have to have an ignore list bigger than my buddy list? FFS

Coming from Uranus us FA's used to use our faction channel for general chat between friends as well as the RP stuff, we were like one big clan of friends over there, and with almost the entire faction being part of our united angels alliance we used it as a sort of an alliance/clan chat as well...

It's gonna take some getting used to playing on the same server together because Uranus/Pluto/Saturn were 3 very different servers and we all have our different ways of doing things. Calling other FA's a "complete and utter wanker" just cos they didn't take too kindly to being told to shut up and take their conversation to dm, doesn't help things really does it?

I think QD was just messin around tho, this however is not...

Why don't we all just try get used to the new server and try to get along with each other since we're all supposed to be in the same faction, eh? I for one don't particulary want to become enemies with other FA's

Pluto did the same, it was just your average roleplay chat channel, but where I agree with wraith is the fact that its not a rant channel, fighting amongst people should really go to a DM or the OOC channel.
Stuff like FUFUFU etc is not appreciated, really

Meh - it's obviously going to take some time to get used to. AFAIK QD is a bit of a joker anyhow most people on uranus never took what he said seriously. EVER. :lol:

Detune those strings man, there's no need to be strung so high.

Faction chat - Faction only chat - theres no rule about not talking to your faction buddies on there. I take it as a middle ground for all fallen angels, not an RP only channel.

Chill peoples. You'll live longer.

I think this was only blown out of proportion because the word pluto was used. Funny. Plutonians never seem to have any trouble slating saturners and uranians when it suits them.We're all guilty of this. So lets not play the martyr here.

Its not that rah..

by the times zane used to be playing pluto FA was pure RP and everything over faction chat used to be RP.

thing bugging him is that most of the RP is gone or restricted to a few ocasions..

and on QD's note.. your taking him way to serius or whatever.. but he's one of the best people i know.. i'v even offerd to pay for his account early this year cause he couldn't then.. he teached me how to PvP he was there to guide me.. QD rox imho.

Got it in one Killer.. I'm a roleplayer.. this game is a 50% roleplay game at least. Sure, on Pluto in FA we talked to everyone over faction, but we RPed it and there was no more than 10-30 people online in FA at any one time. But for christs sake, you can see from that log than the only people talking are QD and his buddy. And with so many runners in FA now it's not like this text is going to just a few people. It's spamming a LOT of people.

Are you seriously telling me that you would rather read his conversation for 50+ lines than any other channel?

I apologise for those people who find this acceptable, but I know I'm not the only person who completely disagrees wit this. Myself and more than 20 others I've already spoken to will be keeping faction chat on mute indeffinetly because of the sheer volume of bullshit.

I've never played on any other server than pluto.. so I never ever passed judgement on runners from other servers. Slating plutonians for being roleplayers or just not being on uranus/saturn is just childish.

Those who know me, know that I am a miserable old git when it comes to things like this, I'm a hardcore roleplayer with not one ounce of 'STFU noob' in me.. so this cuts me even closer to the bone.

If such behaviour continues then it's likely I will not be renewing my subscription when my trial ends. :\

But you are right in a way, personaly reading QD say something about plutonians pains me, its called discriminating, and the same can be said for plutonians saying things about uranus and saturn. Lets not speak of this again.

Now back on the subject.

We already know we can't all get along - thats because we're all human and most if not all humans just want to be better than other humans in atleast some way, and because we all have our oppinions and want everyone else to share that oppinion

There is no sollution, someone can ask another politely not to do a certain thing, but if that person chooses not to react its basicly impossible to do anything about it. We will all have to learn to deal with that.
Only a mass reply has a possibility end such a thing, but that requires extreem amounts of peoples to agree on the same thing which is basicly impossible.

So to end this discussion, yes it sucks, damn wish I could do something about it other than my ignore list

Jesus. Earlier from that, my other friend asked me to clan him, and while he wasn't clanned we just chatted for three minutes over on faction chat. Excuse me for violating you in those short periods of time.

As far as QD and his Pluto comment - I don't know. I didn't play on Pluto. 80% chance he was taking the piss out on someone who was trying to play authority, 20% chance he meant it as an insult. Either way, I'm sure he doesn't care, as I don't either.

Joke or not joke, one thing I am sure of. He wouldn't say it if he wasn't provoked to do so. Maybe if you learned to articulate your problems in a nicer way, none of this would have happened.

hmmm this could just be me but i think the whole Facton chat thing has
went insane.

No where does it say that chat is for RP only, its for people from the
faction to talk about what ever they want with anyone who is in FA. if
anything that chat channel makes FA more open and also gets people to
know each other better. No matter how hard anyone trys you cant make
everyone RP, some people just dont like it.

Now with that said, overly spamming is kinda fucked....but hey i cant say
shit about it since ive done it also.....guess all thats left to say is....if you
dont like whats going on in faction chat simply mute it. Fairly Sure
someone from your clan can tell you if something major happens on it

oh yea QD n Wraith are chilled so i really aint gona start on that
one.....just hope you aint on the verge of another FA war lol.....kinda
always starts like this.

I'm no authority.. I also can't make anyone do anthing or act in any way. If I ever request anything of anyone, I *always* do so ina courtious manner, I doubt anyone who's spoken to me would say otherwise. My request was to keep it clear from one to one conversations. It's a broadcast channel, that means it's not just going to your friends, or people who know you.. even if that is 33%-66% of the server population.

I'm also no expert on how to conduct realtime chatrooms, however even rudimentary etiquette would prescribe this sort of use as spam.

For the record.. myself and many others have now muted faction chat, something I never wanted to have to do. This includes the entire staff of my ingame company (clan if you will). So I won't hear about anything on faction chat. Unfortunate as it may be.

Regardless, this is obviously a hot topic which I will now bow out of, as it is obvious that far less people have the same view as I.

DUDE.

People are too attached to the past. This isn't pluto - respect other peoples server customs. Nor is it Uranus, or saturn, or anything else.

It's terra, and it's time we had some new rules that we all agree on. bottom line is you can't tell people how to act - by paying for their time - people are free to use the time in a manner of thier choosing, true - this leads to allsorts of problems, but he's not doing any time having a convo with his friend is he? If you want a spam free channel - the only way to do it is to use buddy list.

Sad but true. Both parties are at fault.
