Playing as Dr Archeus.

I have to say I am well impressed with the game, despite it being just senseless killing.

Playing on the pinnicle server. Anyone else there?

I have to say I am totally blown away with this game. It is just amazing.

It is like GTA Vice city for level size and detail, one zone being about the size of vice city. It is something else to stand on top of a 30 story building and look out across the city and actually see things happening in the distance.

I haven't even explored a fraction of the map. I got lost and ended up in one zone that looked like an earthquake happened and buried half the city.. to see it is astounding. Never seen graphics like this in any MMORPG.

As for the game itself. It won't appeal to PvP people (as there isn't any yet). Only PvM and collecting goodies like special powers/badges/clothes/etc.

they also appeared to have instanced dungeons and if you are high level instanced city sections (you enter a portal to an alternate dimension).

Oh yea and I haven't crashed once while playing.

lol sounds nice mate.

I'm personaly looking for a unreal/cs type game in a mmorpg surrounding.
Perhaps S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will be something...

Heres a screenie of Hollows. Just got invisability powers so its letting me go to places I couldn't get to at my level.

That is just a small portion of one zone.

made it colored for you killer ;)

(will contact bram if we can make this a little more clear - he used a text to link method - which stops it from underlining (on purpose) - perhaps we can make it a bit bold or something else by default for ease...

As soon as they release it in the UK (or I buy a copy off ebay.. or, er, just pay for the download) I'll probably be joining you. Frellin' NC! :wrong:

You can buy it online. Create a PlayNC account and there is an option in there to buy a key. That creates a download link to the software (800MB). You have patching after that.

I am enjoying the game immensely. I got invisibilty and Teleport. So the whole area has opened up for me now.

The detail is fantastic. You can even fly/teleport up to highest skyscrapers and find things there. The skyscrapers are to scale as well.

Its easy to make animations as well (this one is a sucky one though)

It's not the tallest building but it was the first one I teleported up to.Here is another to give you an idea of scale. Thats me on the hand.

Hehe, I think this "I got invisibilty and Teleport." answeres your question killer :P He um teleports invisible all the time, and that is all he does, the magnificent invisible teleport-man and his dastardly deeds.

It is not a PvP game (yet). Basically you play a superhero, or which the customisation has possibly one of the best ever seen in any game.

After that you go around fighting crimes. Be it women getting their purses snatched to Arch-Villians trying to poison the cities water supply.

As you level you gain more powers and the ability to soup up powers, as well as influence (basically cash) and badges which is a bit more tricky to get. There are also additions and new costumes as well as creating supergroups or having a sidekick.

You also fight bigger and better things not "DOY bot renamed as new baddie".

Sheer size and content is what it is making it fun at the moment. The zones are absolutly huge. Imagine vice city as a single zone only with more height. They also use an instanced Dungeon (and in some cases zones) system. They also have portal space (like Sliders) which opens up other dimensions from magical to technical. But you have to be a fair bit high level to enter those, although I have been to portal Corp.

Game seems to be more orientated for teaming, meeting people up to fight crime. Although it is possible to solo (at least with my character it is).

I'll say straight up the game isn't for everyone. If your into op wars/PvP your probably better off holding out until next year where they will have PvP and Hero vs Villians.

.. As for my character. Hes a mage Controller. Able to...
- Teleport
- Teleport Enemy (fun dropping them off tall buildings)
- Decieve (allows control of one or more enemy)
- Blind (causes damage)
- Spectral Attack (causes serious damage)
- Heal group.
- Group invisiblity (allows people to attack)
- Self invisiblity (can't attack but almost 0 chance of detection)

Then the usual powers after that.
