Sometimes it took me 3 days to think about getting off my ass to plug someones monitor in
Na, the organisation I used to work for outsourced to another part of the government and will have it's security downgraded to hook into the GSI. And then have no on-site IT. Hence we are now surplus to requirements.
For a second I was going to say "aww shit man" but after seeing that you're going to be doing really well even with the redundancy kicking in, I'm now thinking "good shit!"
Not always good to hear that someone is being made redundant, but since you seem pretty happy about it...
Is the people who the IT is being outsourced not taking on your job? As I thought they was legally oblidged(sp) to do so? I know a couple of people in the Linux/Security side of IT, so give me a shout on what you are looking for and I'll see if they know anything going.
There will be no on site IT staff, hence my boss and I are out of a job. It's being taken on by a Local Authority and their IT department will deal with it. And we can't tupee accross either.
But still...
