NEWS: -The Prophet- Techhaven security update

Fallen Angels high council has tried to make it a surprise present for all of us Angels but it seems that the Cityadmin spy's spoiled the fun, they have been overly busy and exposed the present... here is a small quote of what the city's chronicle released:

[...] the Techhaven got weapon technology that's most likely the technology in use by the Scout Bots of the Dome of York. The Science department of our intelligence confirms that it might be viable to use on the Techhaven Guard Bots.[...]

Yeah you got that right, major updates to our security bots.

"next time crahn's insanity, the black dragon criminals or our competition Tangent enter our haven, they will face the music of some very hot plasma that our next edition 'high speed' security bots shoot.”, as said by Miss Silvia Bennet."The final modifications to them are almost done.”

We asked Miss Bennet if with this we have chosen the side of York, but she unfortunately was unable to comment on that subject yet. “the high council is still evaluating the right course of action.”, She informed us.'

Will this be a one time trade or will this result into a long standing contract? I personally can say only one thing, with the cityadmin only trusting city industries for their products it seems that there is more profit to be held for us at the Dome of york.

Yes, it would seem this information has been released to the public before we had planned to.

Yes, we have DoY technology which is soon to be implemented into our security, but we have signed no alliegence deals with DoY at present.

I have seen photo's of the prototypes, and they look like they will provide that much needed boost to our security. Watch this space for news on the imminent upgrades.

We've gotten hands on a slight update, several runners involved in the research and production of these new security bots have released some background information, reporter Brammers was kind enough to post some photographs above.

According to the released information, techhaven labs and dome of york labs are working close together the get the best out of these bots.
According to the information released by the runners the bots got updates on both weapons and speed.
There weapons have been replaced by the newest hightech weaponary designed by the Dome of York, having a large amount of damage output, however at a slight loss of fire rate.
One of the most intresting updates on the bots is the speed, this is indeed intresting as in the past it apeared our design had reached its limits on speed, however techhaven labs made some intresting modifications to the speed system.
The bots normaly use there standard speed, which is equel on how they move now, the difference will only be noticed when in a fight with them, so far no runner wanted to comment on how it works but my gues is that the bots are put in some type of quantom flux, half outside of time, when a bot starts to attack you will notice a very bright light after which it immediatly starts to move at extreem rates while shooting, it lasts for a few seconds and then the bot is back to its normal speed, usualy stationary till it is ready to shoot again.

This system is brilliant, better than I have ever seen in any part of the world so far. It might even be an intresting technology to implement in other products.

However lets not get to far ahead, the current system seems to have a few drawbacks, for instance the Intelligence of the bots is severaly gimped because of the sudden increase of speed, the speed seems to be to high for it to keep up on his calculations. Meaning it has trouble deceiding on where to go, and not only that but even at normal state it has trouble locating the enemy when the enemy hides into a nearby corridor.

None the less, tests so far have shown that there are very few runners up for dueling these bots, only highly trained genttanks have shown promise at resisting them by themselves, passive spell using monks however can still make us vulnarable, fortunatly the attacks have a force damage aswell to make life more difficult for invaders.

Before we'll go on the subject at hand, let me introduce you the new name for our news paper, previously we have been known as the 'Haven's Delight' however the Tsunami Syndicate has requested to use this name for a possible upcoming new peep show, we've sold the name to them for a friendly price of 1.000.000 ñ¢ , this low because we wanted to switch anyway.
We will from here on be known as 'The Prophet' and will continue bringing you news updates on intresting items.

Now back on the subject you want to know so much:
Recently we've been succesfull at infiltrating one of the test facilities for our security bots and we've found out some rather intresting information.
The bots themselves are at first look identical to the older upgrades but unlike those they no longer lack intelligence to much, we've seen tests where bots where in persuit of the attacking enemy, they managed to open doors and find the enemy and with that effectively kill him.
Another intresting bit is that the weapons have been made more effectively, the few tests we where able to run savely showed that even with high resists in the area of energy it was impossible to stand up longer than a few seconds against them, it is yet to see how Passive using monks react to this as they can double there resists, or what we call 'overcap' there resists. However it becomes more and more promising.
Keep in mind tho that this is all still work in progress and we have no exact idea on how the end result will be.
